Knowing how to wash your Tuxy will make sure you get the most out of your purchase. If you have any suit except for the Storm suit, please follow these steps;
- Machine cold wash. Placing your Tuxy in the wash on high heat will cause significant shrinkage and could cause issues with your main entry zipper.
- Hang dry for best results. Your Tuxy will shrink if put in the dryer, so we recommend hanging it to dry.
If you have the Storm Suit, please follow these steps;
- Taking care of your gear is essential once your Storm has been through a few adventures it may need some freshening up to reactivate its waterproof coating.
- All you need to do is follow these steps and you'll be ready to suit up and hit the outdoors once again.
- Make sure all your pockets are empty and zipped up, while all your velcro are fastened.
WASH
- Machine wash on a warm with small amount of detergent.
- Rinse twice so you have fewer creases, don't use any powder detergents, fabric softeners, stain removers or bleach.
DRY
- Tumble dry it on a warm gentle cycle for 20 minutes to reactivate the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating.
- If you notice your Storm is having issues repelling water you may need to reapply a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) which can be purchased online.
